Looking back to starting my first blog I remember installing WordPress (check this post to see what is WordPress) for the first time with no knowledge about it. Even the Original WordPress installation instructions seemed very confusing to me at the time. So in this article I’ll explain installing WordPress from step to step in a way that anyone can Understand
So Let’s Begin
Get Some Hosting and a Domain name
- First of all you need setup a hosting account I use 000webhost personally it’s a free hosting service so I’ll go with the way it’s done in there
- Go to your host (000webhost for me)
- Sign up there if you do not already have a account
- Add your domain to your hosting account

So I thought of freeing my readers from the most boring and the time consuming task of getting good plugins for your WordPress Blog
Why is it time consuming??
Because you’ll need to find the plugins manually from the WordPress plugin directory or from and I recommend plugin directory and by the way if you want to use your time on that task I recommend plugin directory because it’s easier to use more than going through Google. The next thing is the choice of plugins there are a lot of plugins to do one thing for example let’s say you want a “tweet this post” button to your blog so you go to the plugin directory and search for it and I’m sure over 50 results will come up on the subject this has it’s ups and downs.

Today I wanted to change my permalinks structure from “ugly” default to something nice ,but every time I tried this any other option or my own custom structure a message appeared telling me to update my.htaccess file and something like this appeared below the permalink options

The thing was I couldn’t edit the text in the box the only thing I could do was select it. To edit it I knew I had to change the file permission in the .htaccess file I knew that I didn’t have to edit it that WordPress would do the job for me if I change the file permission. So I connected to my host using a ftp client (I use filezilla) and there was no .htaccess file I turned the Force Show hidden file option on but still no .htaccess file.
